I know this is not usually my style, but if you will forgive me this one, more contemplative post than usual…… it is Hogmanay after all 🙂
This is the time of the year for reflections, resolutions, planning. Everywhere is filled with tips on how to make 2016 your best year ever, on how to be at your healthiest yet or how to get that all important job/promotion/house/holiday/beach body.
But I prefer to reflect on how awesome the last year has been and be thankful for everything I have done, achieved, seen and experienced throughout 2015. It has been another phenomenal year. It can be so easy to look back with regret or concern at what has (or hasn’t) passed or to worry about what is around the next bend. People spend so much time comparing their lives to others that we often don’t see how good we have it.
I am so fortunate that each year gets better and better and whilst life is certainly not without the hard times and the struggles, I am so lucky to have all that I have.
2016 is going to be amazing. I can’t wait to get started.
